The
Artist
Artist Jeffrey M. Ferrell
first began photographing at about six years of age. He used a square frame, medium format camera and received
many encouraging comments regarding his pet portraits. At age eleven he learned basic black and white darkroom
techniques.
Jeffrey went back to
college to get a degree in quality commercial photography because he was committed to a 20 year Artistic
Documentary of the Chesapeake Bay and its Historic Oyster Industry. He ended up sailing and racing the old
Oyster Dredging Skipjacks up and down the bay. He even was an extra in the Baltimore TV show Homicide, “The Last
Waterman”.
His work ended up in
numerous museums. One Captain wanted to own Jeffrey’s work so much that he traded the first recorded traditional
skipjack’s (Ruby G. Ford) steering wheel for the Art.
Education continued.
Anything that would make his craft better. He studied from the best in the world. Portraiture, painting,
writing, and thinking. All for the sake of making his Art the best it can be.
One of Jeffrey’s
first benefactors was a renowned Business Building expert who traded a lot of priceless advice for one of the
Artists Images. Since that friendship began, Jeffrey became hungry to mix his art with greater, more powerful
and more meaningful storytelling. Sometimes for history, sometimes for family, sometimes for business/marketing,
and sometimes just for fun!
He was commissioned to
create images to be given to one of the higher ranking Bishops in Rome. He has been commissioned to
successfully create fine portraits of restless children who are not happy in stuffy studios.
All of this adds
up to someone who does not just go the extra mile but becomes his great clients’ most trusted advocate and
business/project partner. One who is driven to extraordinary outcomes, that make yet one more client say, “I am
GLAD that I DID!!!”.
You too, can enjoy purchasing and feel
the pride of ownership that Jeffrey M. Ferrell’s Fine Art brings!
